BLACK PEARL is a yacht made to be used. From the expansive saloon windows, to the aft superstructure designed to allow guests to cast for fish, the yacht has been created to emphasise a sense of connection with the sea, usability and, most of all, enjoyment for all who step onboard her.

This is not a yacht which has been designed to sit at the dock and look pretty - though custom exterior paint created to match the exact colour and lustre of a Tahitian pearl ensures she does just that - BLACK PEARL is a vessel made to go places, see things and above all, bring joy to her owners.

With crossings of the Pacific and Atlantic under her belt, BLACK PEARL has cruised nearly 30,000 nm demonstrating excellent seaworthiness.

Chris Connell-designed interiors set the tone for relaxed getaways that promote comfort and an easy luxury, without standing on ceremony. Four staterooms mean plenty of room for family and guests to spread out in privacy, before they gather together in one of the open, welcoming living spaces.

With those big, bold windows setting the tone for the main interior living space, Cornell’s design comes to the fore. The lines of the interior are crisp and clean, without being cold. The commissioned look was to be reminiscent of an impeccably-cut suit; deceptively simple, made with the highest quality materials and elevated through the use of beautiful detailing.

The clean lines of the interior draw attention to the vistas passing by the windows while leaving a blank canvas for the owner to stamp their mark on. Inlaid artwork at the head of the saloon adds a splash of vibrancy next to a hallway leading to the galley, and containing a temperature controlled wine cabinet.

Moving toward the aft deck, a backgammon table adds to the sense that this is a family space for guests to come together, and stepping outside this is a reinforced by a generous table with room for ten guests to gather around.

Other Living Areas
The classic, restrained interior has been designed to create a neutral and calm base for the owners to weave their own memories on top of. The scheme is consistent through the yacht, adding to the sense guests are given of being at once completely at home, and enjoying the understated, luxurious touches that prevail throughout.

Utility items have been concealed wherever possible while design features have been made of the detailed interior touches which make BLACK PEARL sing. Light fittings, handrails and other elements were designed in house by the Chris Connell team for the bespoke vessel.

Owner stateroom
The roomy master cabin feels unusually large for a 30-metre yacht and is decorated in the same neutral vein seen throughout the yacht. A walk-in wardrobe converts to an office when required and a well-appointed ensuite completes the owner suite. Once again views have been allowed to surge to the fore with windows lining the full beam cabin and ensuite taking advantage of the changing tableau beyond the glass.

VIP Stateroom
Two identical VIP staterooms sit on opposite sides of a hallway fitted with inlaid original artworks. Both able to convert from twin to queen rooms, they each have a good sized ensuite as well as storage which makes clever use of the space.

Guest stateroom
Forward, a four bed stateroom is the ideal spot for children and adds a playful twist to the relaxed ethos of the yacht. Each bunk has an in-build iPod dock to keep young guests entertained as they nod off and the room has a split ensuite with WC on one side, and shower room on the other.

Crew Accommodation
Crew accommodation for four to five crew is spread across three well-designed cabins with good inbuilt storage. A single cabin sits next to the crew stairway providing accommodation for chef or stew. Behind that cabin, a double cabin with ensuite provides further crew berths before a good sized captain’s cabin with ensuite and office is reached at the stern of the vessel.
Deck Equipment
BLACK PEARL's three decks are noticeable for the light which spills through each of them, and the sense of  space the build team has been able to create within the parameters of each deck. Naval architects LOMOcean designed the yacht to be a modern classic with a clean, less-is-more approach which gave plenty of scope to make the most of the liveable spaces onboard.

On her main deck, BLACK PEARL’s extensive saloon stretches full beam, with a spacious aft deck seating area leading into it, while a well-appointed galley is positioned behind it. Forward of the galley lies the bridge with custom windows designed by Glasshape able to withstand a 12-metre wave, or 16t of pressure. Those large windows in the bridge overlook the sunny seating area on the forward deck, replete with plenty of space to lounge; the perfect spot to settle in with a good book and watch the world pass by.

On her upper deck there’s ample space for a tender and two jet skis as well as a crane, while forward of that deck, an enclosed flybridge with a wealth of seating has proved a popular place for guests to breakfast, or to gather and talk over the day’s adventures.

BLACK PEARL’s lower deck is reached by a stairwell with sculptural handrails leading guests down to the staterooms. A four berth stateroom sits forward, in a clever use of space which makes this yacht an inviting family or group space.

Two VIP staterooms lie amidships, followed by the master cabin. A door provides access to the crew quarters, and from there, the engine room, and then tender garage completes the lower deck.
