Description

NINKASI is a proven global cruiser of the finest quality.   Her masterful design is the careful result of long term collaboration between her original owner and the late, highly regarded Naval Architect Bill Langan with partners Sam Hunt and Tom Degremont.

The fundamental design brief called for a sophisticated, purposeful looking yacht with great sea keeping abilities and range.  Langan Design Group took that directive and hit a home run achieving a 15-knot speed target utilizing a full displacement single chine “V” bottom design, the best choice for performance, stability, and range:  2450 miles at 12.5 knots that can be increased to 4000 miles at an economical 10.5 knots.   Her ideal beam to length ratio and moderate draft gives this stunning yacht exceptional volume at 453 GRT.    NINKASI’s comfort is further enhanced with “at rest” or “zero speed” stabilization.

Step inside NINKASI and you immediately know she is no ordinary yacht, her décor and high concept design by Rhoades Young pleases the eye and senses at every turn.  The choice of woods, finish and fixtures are subtle and soothing.  The quality of the joinery work by Oldenberger is exceptional.

Simply put NINKASI’s is the epitome of what an elegant, seaworthy and efficient yacht should be.

Accommodation:
Full Beam on-deck Owners suite with study and true his/her ensuite bath.   Four additional guest  staterooms are below deck.  She features large exterior deck spaces for Alfresco dining and entertaining, with an open sundeck.  A well-conceived layout maximizes comfort for the Owner, Guests and Crew.   Her machinery and technical spaces are ample for a yacht of her size allowing better service and maintenance of her systems.  Both tenders were replaced in 2016 and are stored on the foredeck away from guest areas.

Main Deck:
Classically designed symmetry, formality and flow defines the main deck areas in the Salon and Dining area and forward to the Owner’s suite.  The central reverse spiral marble staircase accessing all three decks blends beautifully.

Owner’s Suite:
A generous full beam stateroom with King sized bed offset to port with settee lounging area to starboard.  Separate his/hers ensuite bath are forward with stall showers and marble counters and floors.  Ample his/hers dressing area, drawers, and closet space.   A spacious Owners study located to starboard is elegantly furnished with desk and chairs.  Overall, the décor of the owners suite is beautifully wrought in light oak wood with a high-quality, durable finish that appears hand rubbed in the French style and perfectly matched with stainless fixtures and soft fabrics. Large windows to port and starboard allow plenty of natural light, unfettered views, and maximum privacy.  Satellite HDTV, DVD and high fidelity stereo make up the AV system.

Foyer:
Finished to same high standard of owner/guest areas, a marble floor matches the staircase and a guest Day head just aft of the Owner’s office.  Access from the foyer through aft to the dining salon as well as up or down via the staircase to all decks and forward to the crew area through a hidden, discreet door.  The main foyer leads down to the lower guest area landing which allows access to the four guest staterooms and the hidden service corridor through to the crew area.

Guest Staterooms:
The forward staterooms both have two oversized single berths, ensuite head and shower aft.  The after Staterooms have Queen sized beds with ensuite head and shower.  Great attention was given to reduce sound and vibration in this area.

Galley:
Very well equipped for ultimate 5-star service and food preparation the galley is Located on the port side, and is accessible via the port side crew door, formal dining area and foyer.  Large, well ventilated and lit with large windows, the Galley was professionally designed with key input from the owner’s longtime personal Chef.   It has ample cold and dry storage for long term cruising and charter operations.  Large counter space with Stainless finish where appropriate for sanitation and ease of cleaning.  The chef’s area features high-grade commercial equipment and separate, adjacent stewardess pantry for prep and cleaning.

Dining Saloon:
Dining Saloon is partially separated from the Main saloon or if desired, Shoji Doors can close to create complete privacy between the Dining and Main Salon areas.  The Dining Saloon includes a magnificent oval-round burled table with Duncan-Fife like legs and a classic dental edge centered under a sculptured residential style chandelier.  Eight modern armless chairs surround the dining table with an additional 2 chairs in storage for seating 10.

Main Salon:
Elegant décor comfortable in every manner with a subtle Asian motif.  The floors are carpeted over hardwood flooring with the carpet being removable to allow for entertaining.  Symmetrical seating with sofas either side and 4 easy chairs and teak French style double doors opening to the aft deck.  Large windows port and starboard make the salon bright and airy with window treatments for privacy.

Main Deck Aft:
Has a seating area with two large chairs either side and a low cocktail table.  From this area, there is access up to the Bridge deck via a comfortable teak covered staircase as well as access aft to starboard for the passarelle staircase down to the garage from port side.

Beach Club:
The transom door opens to form a “beach club” area for water activities and opens to a room for gym equipment for guest enjoyment with an interior access to the aft deck above.  The passarelle articulates out to dock access or down to the open transom door when open.

Crew Area:
Is accessed via stairs from galley forward and a water tight door that leads to guest accommodation foyer. Crew accommodation is quite spacious for a vessel of 42m with large dining settee, crew mess to port and enclosed galley to starboard.  There are four double cabins each ensuite with head and shower.  Two of the crew cabins have berths that can accommodate couples.  The Captain’s cabin is aft of the pilothouse.

Engine Room/Technical Space:
Aft of Guest accommodations and separated by soundproof bulkhead, the engine has an enclosed and air conditioned control room aft. The space very well insulated and vibration dampened.   The original owners engineer participated in the build and designing the layout of the engine room to improve installation, performance, and serviceability of all systems and equipment.

Bridge Deck:
The Bridge Deck Sky Lounge uses the full beam of the yacht and is impressively voluminous, a superb space,  with tropical teak , white trim,  and custom built Indonesian cabinetry perfectly blends to create a unique, relaxing environment.  Overhead center sections with cream colored raised paneling feature bamboo cane inlays add to the relaxed feel.  Large windows and the fully retractable teak French doors open to create perfect flow with the alfresco dining and seating areas.  The aft deck dining table accommodates  8 – 10 guests on centerline covered by the upper deck.   Staircases up to the Sundeck and down to aft deck are both to starboard.  Exterior built-in aft seating was added in 2016 to maximize seating and storage.

Pilothouse/Bridge:
Exceptionally well designed with a state of the art glass bridge includes a ship’s office with retractable panels to allow use in nighttime situations when running and/or privacy.  The Bridge has wing doors either side and a large settee aft and two control chairs.  Port and Stbd doors offer Passage forward from the bridge on deck to the fully teaked foredeck area and tender stowage/bosun’s locker.

Flybridge/Sundeck:
The Sundeck was designed for lounging and relaxation.  No helm controls on this deck.  A large Jacuzzi pool is located forward on this deck allowing visibility over the foredeck and protected by the windscreen.  Two observation seating areas are outboard of the Jacuzzi.  Two large sun pads are aft and outboard of the Jacuzzi.  A large “U” shaped seating area with table and chair is located aft on this deck.

The radar arch is carbon fiber and used to allow shade using canvas attached to the arch.  The communication, TV and radar equipment is fitted on the radar arch which was designed to be removable and shipped in a standard shipping container.  The underside of the arch is also removable allowing access to the wiring and equipment.
